Trump se Reúne con Líderes Cristianos Conservadores

Washington, D.C. – Hoy, varios líderes cristianos de derecha se reunirán con el candidato republicano a la presidencia, Donald Trump, para conocer a fondo al candidato y sus posturas respecto a distintos temas.

La siguiente declaración se atribuye al reverendo David Beckmann, presidente de Pan para el Mundo:

“El grupo que se reunirá con Donald Trump este día no representa a toda la comunidad cristiana – ni a todos los evangélicos.

“Los líderes de una diversa selección de iglesias cristianas han solicitado de los candidatos a la presidencia una explicación de lo que harían para abordar el hambre y la pobreza si fuesen elegidos. Estos son los temas que importan en todas las fes. Casi todos los candidatos han ofrecido sus declaraciones (www.circleofprotection.us). Pero a pesar de varias solicitudes, la campaña de Trump aún no ha respondido.

“Pan para el Mundo exhorta a Donald Trump a que ofrezca su declaración acerca de qué haría para otorgar ayuda y oportunidad a las personas que padecen hambre y pobreza en Estados Unidos y en todo el mundo.

“Actualmente, 48 millones de estadounidenses, entre ellos casi 16 millones de niños, padecen hambre. Una encuesta de votantes ordenada por Pan para el Mundo determinó que 1 de cada 3 votantes dicen que solo votarían por candidatos que prometen priorizar acabar con el hambre. Pan para el Mundo pretende elegir líderes que realicen esta meta.

“Pan para el Mundo espera que Trump considere que el fin del hambre y la pobreza sea un tema importante, así como lo consideran millones de cristianos en todo el país”.
