Worshipping, Listening, and Learning Together

This time will include plenaries with guest speakers and breakout sessions in which participants will be able to engage in discussions with each other.

Confirmed plenary speakers – afternoon session:

  • Gaby Pacheco, immigrant-rights leader from Maimi and director of the Bridge Project, a program to connect people from across the political spectrum to achieve immigration reform that is sensible and workable for all
  • Desmond Meade, a formerly homeless returning citizen (ex-felon); current state director for PICO Florida Lifelines to Healing Campaign (addresses gun violence, mass incarceration, and felon disfranchisement); and president of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (addresses felon disfranchisement issues)
  • Rev. Nicta Lubaale, a food security champion and general secretary of the Organization of African Instituted Churches, which brings together African Independent and Instituted Churches
  • Rev. Gabriel Salguero from the National Latino Evangelical Coalition, who will speak on immigration
  • Tonya Rawe from CARE, who will speak on sustainable food security

40th Anniversary Reception and Dinner

Tuesday, June 10
Lobby Day

8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Briefing session followed by pre-arranged visits to members of Congress on Capitol Hill. The day concludes with a reception and worship.
