This fall as churches renew their commitment to ending hunger, Bread for the World celebrates its 35th anniversary! On October 18 – or another Sunday before Thanksgiving – churches from many faith traditions will observe Bread for the World Sunday. Through education, prayer, and music, worshipping communities will lift up their voices on behalf of hungry people in our own country and around the world.
The Reflection Resource features a scripture and sermon study on Mark 10:35-45 by Dr. John Buchanan, editor and publisher of Christian Century. A new sacred song composed by Marty Haugen and special prayers for the day are also included. Bulletin inserts and offering envelopes (while supplies last) are also available. All are free of charge!
By taking part in Bread for the World Sunday, you will join others as we rejoice in our calling as Jesus’ disciples – equipped and emboldened to act, creating hope and opportunity for hungry people.

All Bread for the World Sunday 2009 materials are free of charge and will be shipped beginning in August. Starting August 1, please allow two weeks for delivery.
Each Bread for the World Sunday packet includes:

- Note, these are not Offering of Letters Bulletin Inserts which are available free in Bread for the World's online store www.breadstore.org.
