As Christians, we believe that God cares for hungry and poor people. Throughout the Bible we find the message that God intends for everyone to have enough, and that human beings have a responsibility to help shape the world as God intends. We need to pay attention to hungry people, share what we have and work for justice for those with less than enough. Ultimately, the way we treat others is the way we treat God: “Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but those who are kind to the needy honor him.”(Proverbs 14:31)
