On Campus

Bread for the World's Student Coalition of over 300 campuses, mobilizes campus communities around issues of hunger and poverty. Coalition members add their voices to a powerful nationwide network of activists seeking justice on behalf of hungry people. BFW’s Student Coalition gives you the tools needed to take action to end world hunger.

Student activists use effective advocacy strategies like writing letters, calling and visiting their members of Congress. Many student activists meet together for regular action in BFW campus chapters. Community service organizations, human rights groups and other justice-minded organizations take action by writing letters after a community service project or during a Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Since it only takes a few minutes to write a letter, speaking out in support of good policy for hungry people can be a part of most on-going campus activities.
