It really isn't hard to listen to Breadcast. You don't even need an iPod. You can listen right on your computer. Essentially, you're getting a personalized radio show every month that has insightful features about hunger and poverty. Think "This American Life" but with a special focus on issues Bread for the World members want to hear about in particular.
Here's what you need to know:
- Streaming is simply audio playing from your computer. We place links to every edition of breadcast here so you can listen on your computer at any time.
- Podcasting is a word that has become synonymous with a kind of Web-based broadcasting. A Podcast is an audio file that has been sent to a server (like iTunes) and can be transferred automatically onto your iPod or other MP3 player.
We offer three options to hear the show.
- Listen now by clicking the play button on the audio player below each podcast.
- Download the show to your computer by right-clicking the "Download" link and "save file as" to save to your computer. Then, save it on your desktop and click on the file name after it has finished downloading. You can also drag it to your portable listening device/MP3 player.
- Subscribe to the Podcast through iTunes and every time you plug your iPod into your computer, any new shows that are available will downloaded to your computer and synced to your iPod automatically.
Just visit the Breadcast page and you'll see what's in the latest edition of the show. The most recent episode are listed first. Then scroll down the page if you'd like to listen to archived editions.
