How you can make a bequest

- The General Bequest
"I give and bequeath to Bread for the World, Inc. (or Bread for the World Institute, Inc.) of 50 F Street NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC, 20001, the sum of $ (or a specific item of property, such as real estate, stocks or bonds, automobile, etc.) to be used as its board of directors determines."
- Residual Bequest
You may also leave the residue of your estate after you have provided for family members and other beneficiaries. "I give and bequeath to Bread for the World, Inc. (or Bread for the World Institute, Inc.) of 50 F Street NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC, 20001 ,the residue of my estate, to be used as its board of directors determines."
- Income Only to be Used
"I give and bequeath to the Endowment of Bread for the World, Inc. (or Bread for the World Institute, Inc.) of 50 F Street NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC, 20001, the sum of $................ to be invested and reinvested so that the income only may be used as its board of directors determines."
- Percentage Bequest
"I give and bequeath to Bread for the World, Inc. (or Bread for the World Institute, Inc.) of 50 F Street NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC, 20001, (name a specific percentage) of the total value of my estate to be used as its board of directors determines."
