Food for a Future

Catarina Pascual Jiménez is living on the edge in extreme poverty in Guatemala. Among the many challenges she faces daily are raising her four children on her own.  Fortunately for Catarina, there is a program providing this much-needed nutrition for her young twins that is sponsored by the U.S. government as part of its international food-aid program.

Planting Seeds of Hope

For Pedro and Jacinta, living with their seven children in a remote village in the mountains of Guatemala, growing enough food on their own to feed their family year-round is a challenge. But a church-supported development project has helped the village build a greenhouse in which they and other families can grow food to supplement what they can grow in their fields.

We Are Bread for the World

Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation's decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. By changing policies and programs that allow hunger and poverty to persist, we provide help far beyond our own communities.
