Art Simon to speak on world hunger tonight

CARBONDALE - Art Simon, brother of late U.S. Sen. Paul Simon and founder of Bread for the World, will address the Southern Illinois community on the issue of world hunger tonight.
Simon will speak at 7 p.m. in the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Student Center auditorium. His visit marks the keynote speech of Feeding Minds, Fighting Hunger Week at SIUC. The event coincides with National Homelessness and Hunger Awareness Week.
The lecture, titled "The Politics of World Hunger," is sponsored by Saluki Volunteer Corp, the AmeriCorps VISTA program and the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute.
