Evensong Rising Joins Hands with Bread for the World

Soul-Audio

June 3, 2008

Worshippers Evensong Rising have joined into a partnership with Bread for the World, the first exclusive partnership between the advocacy organization and a band. The organization encourages and helps organize Christians to unite as one voice to speak to our nation's decision makers, urging them to end hunger at home and abroad and was a huge part of Bono's ONE campaign in 2005.

"We are tremendously honored to be asked to represent Bread for the World," comments Rev. Chris Sorensen, lead singer for Evensong Rising. "For decades, Bread members have fought relentlessly on behalf of hungry and poor people here at home and around the globe by changing the policies that keep people in poverty. Our music challenges people to be the hands and feet of Christ, and this partnership with Bread for the World will provide our listeners with concrete opportunities to express this passion."
