7:30 a.m. Buses leave Catholic University
All Hunger Justice Leaders staying at Catholic University should report to the buses for Capitol Hill. If you are not returning to CUA, bring all of your luggage with you on the bus
8:15 a.m. Registration & Coffee

Lobby Day participants who have not registered will register and receive a nametag and briefing packet containing helpful information for the day.  Participants who have already registered will have a chance to have a cup of coffee and review their materials.
8:45 a.m. Opening Worship
Join in a time of prayer, music and reflection as we prepare for the day ahead
9:15 a.m. Briefing on 2008 Offering of Letters Campaign
Bread for the World policy analysts will give an overview on our 2008 international campaign. Staff will update us on poverty focused development assistance and the Global Poverty Act, providing talking points and answering questions. Sen Chuck Hagel (R-NE) will also give brief remarks. We will have a short role-play of a typical lobby visit. Following these presentations, Organizers for your region will caucus with you and others from your area to go over final details about the content and logistics of your lobby visits.
12:30 p.m Lunch
Free boxed lunches will be available at the Church of the Reformation.  You might enjoy using this time to meet and spend time with other Lobby Day participants.
1:30 p.m. Lobby Visits
This is the high point of the day. To the extent possible, you’ll meet with your senators between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and your representatives between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. If you are alone for any of your visits and would prefer to have someone accompany you, we will try to arrange it. 
5:00 p.m. Transportation – Near Rayburn House Office Building
Beginning at 5 p.m. and running until 8:30 p.m., a van will travel between Rayburn Cafeteria, Church of the Reformation to pick up luggage and Union Station.
5:30 p.m. Reception – Rayburn House Office Building, Independence Ave SW
We will have a reception to celebrate the day’s lobbying efforts. A number of guests will join us, including members of Congress, their staff members and coalition friends.
7:00 p.m Closing Worship – Rayburn Cafeteria
After the reception, we’ll gather for worship and a chance to share stories of the day’s visits.  
8:00 p.m Adjourn 
Buses taking participants back to CUA will depart from Rayburn following closing worship.
