Making Nutrition Programs More Efficient
In order to know the best ways to address hunger, we need to carefully monitor the effectiveness of existing services. But in recent years, Congress has reduced funding for research to study the effectiveness and impact of our national nutrition safety net.
Restoring and expanding research on nutrition program design and impact will help clarify which recommendations have worked well enough to become national policy. Make Hunger History legislation intends to support research on the impact of the current programs and to test new models for program design.
