What Is This Offering Of Letters About?

Bread for the World's 2008 Offering of Letters is pushing for more and better poverty-focused development assistance. To illustrate how this work can help people in the some of the world's poorest countries, we've compiled our resources a bit differently this year.

We tell the story of Catherine Phiri, a 13-year-old from Zambia who is determined to break out of the cycle of hunger and poverty that traps her family. To get a full picture of Catherine's life—and the importance of Bread for the World's work in this year's Offering of Letters—read Catherine's story as it unfolds. Each page will help you understand how "more" and "better" development assistance can make a difference in the lives of girls like Catherine all over the world.

Offering of Letters kit (includes handbook + DVD) will be available for order at the end of January.
