It’s Membership Renewal Time!
This is the time of year when we ask all Bread members to renew their annual membership. Your renewed support is critical as we launch our 2010 Offering of Letters and urge Congress to adopt changes to U.S. tax policy that will benefit low-income families. By sending in your renewal gift as quickly as possible, you save the cost and inconvenience of receiving additional renewal reminders. This year, consider renewing your membership online so your gift will go to work immediately. Please visit our secure Web site at www.bread.org/renew to renew today.
Ending Childhood Hunger
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and USDA Under Secretary Kevin Concannon joined Bread for the World President David Beckmann and other leaders of the National Anti-Hunger Organizations (NAHO) on Capitol Hill to launch NAHO’s new report, “Roadmap to End Childhood Hunger in America by 2015.” The report, which was released in response to President Obama’s pledge to end child hunger by 2015, recommends nine steps that will eliminate child hunger in the United States—the reauthorization of child nutrition programs among them. A New Look
Bread for the World’s Web site will soon sport a fresh design. This spring, look for easy access to all of Bread’s resources—publications, research, stories, the latest hunger news—as well as quick access to our blogs and other social media. As part of the redesign, several of our online publications, including this newsletter, will also carry a new look. Stay tuned to www.bread.org!
