The table is a natural and powerful symbol of community.
Whether eating meals, playing board games, or discussing the household budget, families regularly gather at the table. Communion around a table exists outside of the family as well. Often, when people find fellowship, unity, or accord, it is around a dinner table, a coffee table, a negotiating table.
Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. By changing policies, programs and conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist, we provide help and opportunity far beyond the communities where we live. Bread for the World is a 501(c)4 organization.
