Giving Tuesday: Help those struggling with hunger

By David Beckmann

For many of us, our bellies are still satisfied from our Thanksgiving feast. We’ve gathered with friends and family to give thanks and enjoy the pleasures of a warm meal.  In most cultures, food is the hallmark of celebrations, but too many people around the world are celebrating milestones at empty tables.

Today, on Giving Tuesday, I hope you will choose to support Bread for the World’s work to advocate for people struggling with hunger. Thanks to Rick Steves, travel host and incredibly generous Bread member, all donations made today will be matched 2-to-1, up to $700,000 to Bread for the World Institute

As in years past, if you donate $100 or more, Rick will match it 2-to-1 AND send you a special thank you gift.

If you take advantage of Rick’s generous offer, your gift today will have triple the impact for people experiencing hunger and it will help us continue advocating for critical programs that are a lifeline to millions of families in the United States and around the world.

Hundreds have already donated. I hope you will too.

David Beckmann is the president of Bread for the World.
