Food is the cornerstone of cherished memories with my mom

My mom demonstrated her love by feeding people.

This Mother’s Day, I cannot think of a better way to honor my mom than to give a gift to Bread for the World to help support advocacy for mothers struggling to feed their families

My mom dedicated her life to serving others. In addition to working at a local middle school cafeteria, my mom ran her church’s food bank for over 30 years. She spoke of the families she served with the highest regard. Her stories taught me compassion, and the importance of helping those in need.

Like my mom, Bread works relentlessly to help families get by during difficult times. The programs Bread advocates for provide relief to struggling moms, and helps children get the food they need to grow and learn.  Right now, these programs are under threat of budget cuts in Congress.

Your gift now will help us persuade Congress to sustain programs that are vital to mothers and children – both in the United States and around the world.

My husband and I are blessed with the opportunity to donate in honor of my mom, and I hope you will join us by honoring a special mom in your lifePlease give a gift today
