Bread for the World’s
23rd Annual Gala to End Hunger

Thank you for making the 23rd Annual Gala to End Hunger: Breaking Bread, Building the Future a success! Bread members, faithful supporters, and new friends alike made the evening truly meaningful.

We want to offer a special thank you to Dr. Jeremy Everett, Bread for the World’s Board Chair, for serving as the Master of Ceremony for the evening and Karen Smith for sharing a moving personal story. Our own President/CEO, Rev. Eugene Cho, gave an impassioned plea for support because of the urgency surrounding the current hunger crisis.

We were honored and grateful to have Cardinal Seán O’Malley, Metropolitan Archbishop Emeritus of Boston, as keynote speaker who delivered deeply inspiring remarks and compelled guests to resist the urge to participate in the globalization of indifference.

We appreciate the conversations that were sparked, and the collective passion in the room. The event served as a reminder that advocacy matters, and that together we are powerful enough to continue the work towards ending hunger.

Because of generous donations, we’ve raised $610,000 which is just short of our $650,000 fundraising goal. If you weren’t able to join, but would still like to contribute, we would be deeply grateful for your donation.

Thank you for your committed partnership with this work. Your generosity and dedication help fuel our mission and bring us closer to a world where everyone has access to the food and resources they need to live and thrive.

We hope the evening left you motivated, encouraged, and energized for the work ahead. We look forward to continuing this journey with you.
