Bread for the World Statement on the Passing of Senator Lindsey Graham

“Senator Graham was a committed partner in our shared work to address global hunger. As a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and a strong advocate for bipartisan solutions, he worked tirelessly to fund international food assistance and nutrition programs.

“Senator Graham’s engaged advocacy for the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), demonstrated a deep commitment to global health and humanitarian assistance. His efforts to protect PEPFAR reflected the same bipartisan leadership he brought to end global hunger. He understood that ending hunger is a moral imperative and every person is made in the image of God and deserves access to adequate food.
