Bio:
Jason is the North Carolina State Organizer with Bread for the World. He is leading a statewide movement of congregations, nonprofits, community leaders, advocates, volunteers, and anyone else interested in building district level power across his beloved home state. Jason is a native of Boiling Springs, North Carolina, and served in various local churches across the state for the first 25 years of his career, including 17 years as Senior Pastor of two Cooperative Baptist Congregations. He followed that time by briefly working in development and fundraising before joining Bread for the World. His love for both advocacy and Bread for the World began in 2012, when Jason was part of a cohort of Hunger Justice Leaders from across the country trained and equipped by Bread for the World. He holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education and a Master of Divinity from Gardner-Webb University, and a graduate degree in Nonprofit Management from UNC Greensboro.
