Vila-Sheree Watson serves as Vice President for Development & Membership at Bread for the World. She leads all areas of private fundraising—including membership and annual giving, major gifts, and engagement with churches, corporations, and foundations—as well as digital and direct response campaigns that advance Bread’s mission to end hunger.
With nearly 30 years of experience in global development, marketing, and fundraising, Vila-Sheree has helped organizations expand their reach and deepen donor relationships. Before joining Bread, she served as Senior Director of Integrated Fundraising at Plan International, where she launched the organization’s annual fund and the Her Defenders recurring giving program. She has also held senior leadership roles at Lutheran World Relief, ADRA International, and the Global Peace Foundation.
Vila-Sheree is passionate about mobilizing resources that strengthen communities, expand opportunity, and drive lasting change. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and an MBA.
